On being stood up
For the record, my top peeve is being stood up. I’ll erupt like the Eyjafjallajökull faster than you can say sorry.
Standing me up tells me the following:
1. You don’t respect my time
2. You don’t keep promises
3. I am much less important than whatever you are standing me up for
I’m pretty okay with 3, I realise I’m not Obama. But I have major issues with 1 and 2. Because I don’t squander my time on people I don’t like and I have major issues with people who don’t keep promises.
So the next time I ask you out or vice versa, please do us both a favour and never promise me until you’re 100% sure you can make it, or I’ll never let you make up for it. Just to substantiate my point, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
well said on the criterion for eruption.. agree completely..
