There are those who love things and use people, and there are those who love people and use things.
There are those who protect themselves at all costs, and there are those who protect others at all costs.
There are those who demand respect, and there are those who give respect.
There are those who shirk responsibility, and there are those who accept responsibility.
There are the cynics, and there are the believers.
There are the hearers, and there are the doers.
There are the villains, and there are the heroes.
There are the haters, and there are the lovers.
There is something inside every one of us that longs to be all things good, respectable, honourable and lovable. But so very often, we fail to see that to achieve that, we have to first see ourselves for what we really are. When we do, we are often so appalled by ourselves or so unwilling to accept the truth, that we would do anything to deny it, even if it is as clear as day.
We do want to be all things good, respectable, honourable and lovable. Yet, not many are willing to pay the price for change.
